MediEase in association with various recognized hospitals in India, offer the best heart (cardiac) treatment/ surgery with a strong assurance given by its own cardiologist and Cardio- thoracic surgeons that has been awarded for better achievement outcomes and provides a new life to thousands of cardiac patients across the world.

Coronary Angiography

Generally coronary Angiography is the X ray examination of the blood vessels or chambers of the heart where a tiny tube (catheter) will be inserted into the blood vessel of upper thighs or arms. The procedure is where the tip of the tube is pointed in the heart at the beginning of the arteries delivering to the heart and a special fluid known as contract medium or dye is injected and the fluid is visible in x-ray and the pictures that are showing in x-ray are called as angiograms.

Risks

There may be slight feasible complication in the test due to angiography which involves puncturing an artery, internal bleeding or haemorrhage. Normally pregnant women are advised to avoid such procedure and x-ray carry risks of ionizing exposure to the foetus.

Moreover there is always a slight chance of cancer from radiation, whereas the advantage of an accurate diagnosis outweighs the risks. Thus women should enquire with their physician or x-ray technologist if they have found any signs of pregnancy. If you have diabetes or kidney disease then there may be chances to get injured in your kidney when contrast material is purged by the urine and on the other hand the catheter may damage a coronary artery and if this happens then the artery may get repaired through emergency heart surgery and stroke.

Advantages

The advantages of coronary angiography is there will be no radiation remains in a patient’s body after an x-ray examination and x-ray normally doesn’t have side effects. Moreover angiography may get rid of the required surgery. If surgery becomes compulsory then it should be done accurately.

Normally angiography takes around half an hour to complete the surgery.

What To Expect After Coronary Angiography?

Soon after coronary angiography, patient will move to the special ward where he or she will be kept for close observation for many times overnight and the patient can take complete rest. During this specific timings, movement of the patient will be restricted to avoid bleeding from the area where the catheter has been inserted. While getting recovered of that particular area, nurses will check your heart rate and blood pressure regularly and take observation whether there is any bleeding from the inserted tube area.

In addition, a tiny bruise may develop in your arm, groin (upper thigh), or neck at the area where the catheter was inserted and that specific area feels painful or tender for a week. So make sure your doctors knows about the new problems facing by patients at present such as a continuous great amount of blood at the specific area that is not possible to stop by a diminutive quantity of bandage and besides you may feel unusual pain, swelling, redness or other signs of infection or in and around the inserted area.

Coronary Angioplasty

MediEase in relationship with different recognised hospitals in India which offer the finest heart (cardiac) treatment/ surgery with a strong assurance given by its own cardiologist and Cardio- thoracic surgeons that has been awarded for healthier achievement results and gives a new life to thousands of cardiac patients across the world.

Actually angioplasty releases the channel of diseased arterial segments, mitigated the reappearance of chest pain, improves the value of life and trim downs other complications of the disease. The treatment is executed with the help of small needle hole in the groin or sometimes in the arm which is less invasive compared to surgery and it may have chances to develop the same disease to the patient or the patient may have risks to placed extra artery in the future.

Risks

There are some risks for such treatment that includes
  • Allergic response to the x-ray dye.
  • Blockage of blood flow to the heart area will rarely happen.
  • Diminish the threats of death in few patients.
  • Break of a heart valve or blood vessel.
  • Haemorrhage.
  • Bleeding from the particular area where the catheter was crammed.

Complication

Apart from the above mentioned risks in such treatment, there are also some complications such as effect to the contrast eye, problems in kidney, scratch to the lining of the artery, which is known as dissection, decrease the warnings of death in some patients, creating blockages in arteries downstream from the treated artery from the elements of the plaque breaking free which is called as embolization.

Cardiac Surgery - CABG

In association with some of the finest hospitals in India, MediEase facilitates the best cardiac (heart) treatments under the trusted care of those Cardiologists and Cardio- thoracic Surgeons who have been behind the success and healthier results that enhanced the life of thousands of cardiac patients all over the world.

CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery)

Arteries transmit blood from the heart to the remaining part of the body and coronary arteries provide blood to the heart muscles. Once the coronary artery obtains blocked, a fresh channel is produced to bypass the blockage, which is known as bypass graft surgery. In fact, it employs as a working blood vessel from a different part of the body ---- the graft --- to conduit blood in and around the blocked area. Actually CABG surgery provides fresh way around thinned and blocked arteries, permitting adequate blood to carry oxygen and nutrients to the heart muscle.

The duration of the surgery differ with every patient, though, it normally takes 4- 6 hours from the time you enter the operation room

Post Surgery Precautions:

  • The main thing patient need to do is to walk daily, let’s say walking for 5 minutes by repeating 3 – 5 times per day and steadily enhances the time up to 20 minutes.
  • Patients should not lift any heavy things.
  • Patients are not supposed to drive till the surgeon recommends, which actually can happen only after 4-6 weeks.

Threats

In any surgical procedure, there are threats of infection and intense bleeding. Besides there are other risks linked with anesthesia. Additionally these will comprise difficult reactions to medication and breathing problems. In fact there are other familiar complications occurring from open – heart surgery namely as postoperative pneumonia and wound infection.

The present rate for bypass surgery is 96 -98 percent i.e. Between 2 to 4 percent of the patients only obtain complications

Advantages

  • CABG especially enhances symptoms of angina, work out capacity and decrease medication requirements and the overall quality of life will enhance considerably.
  • It decrease possibility of subsequent heart attack.
  • It mainly enhances long time survival, may be 10 yrs and those with the most harsh coronary artery disease expand utmost after CABG operation.
